- Denplan Information -
Below are all the different plans we offer our Denplan patients, costs per banding and any other information we feel is good to know when choosing Denplan.
What Is Denplan?
"Your current dental health is the primary focus of the initial check-up. There are two steps to this check-up. Your dentist will first establish if any treatment is needed before joining Denplan. They will then discuss your future oral health needs with you. The Denplan payment plan options offered are based on both dental needs and budget. Before completion, your dentist will talk you through the agreed contract. Your ongoing treatment and care will be detailed in this chat. You'll be able to discuss any potential work not covered, and define the next steps. Think of Denplan as insurance for your teeth! You will be placed in your necessary band by the Dentist (see 'how Denplan works' below to learn more) to determine how much your dental plan will cost you each month. |
How Denplan Works?
The dentist will discuss with you and carry out a Denplan Oral Health Assessment this assessment looks at your current oral health and how this will be maintained, based on the amount of previous dental work you have had completed, IE: number of restorations, prosthetics (dentures, crowns & bridges) and extractions, which band you fall into. For a brief idea on banding costs, please scroll through the Denplan Plan Options & Costs, at the bottom of each plan there is a table showing the different banding & their individual costs. |

Why you should choose Denplan Implant Upgrade Cover? |
If you have a dental injury and lose a tooth as the result of this, your dentist may not be able to restore your teeth using the treatments covered by your denplan. |
With Denplan implant upgrade, you can rest assured that if you do lose a tooth due to a dental injury, you will have cover in place should your dentist feel an implant is clinically necessary. Eligible dental injuries are those to the teeth or supporting structures (including damage to dentures while being worn) which is directly caused suddenly and unexpectedly by means of an external blow to the mouth. |
Transfering Dentist/Dental Practice:
Transfering Dentist / Dental Practice: |
Are you moving to the local area or do you work close to the area? Do you travel many miles in order to receive your dental care? or are you just looking for a change of Dentist? We can not transfer you straight across from one Denplan practice to ours, you will first require a full new patient assessment with us. Due to demand we currently have a new patient waiting list, please contact the reception team for more information. At Horn Hill Dental Practice we will need to take a payment for your initial new patient assessment with us after leaving your other practice. This will cover your new patient assessment. The new patient assessment means we will essentially 'start from scratch' with you. At this appointment we will go through all relevant medical history, discuss your concerns (if there is any), we will take note of all restorations, prosthetics and teeth present on to your patient record card as well as checking your soft tissues for anything. We will also record full mouth photographs to aid in treatment planning and discussing any cosmetic treatment you feel you would benefit from. If we do not have access to your previous x-rays (from the previous dentist), we will retake these at the appointment. If you have been a regular attender at your other Denplan practice, and kept to your recalls (how regular you should attend recommended by your dentist) then you should not require extensive work and therefore you will be more than likely to proceed with Denplan care at this practice. PLEASE NOTE to join Denplan you must be "dentally fit", which means you are caries free & no restorations or treatment are needed currently. If after your new patient assessment you require treatment, this will need to be paid for under private costs before you can join as a Denplan patient with us. After this new patient assessment you will be given a Denplan band. Please note this may be the same or different to the one you had at your previous dental practice. Any changes will be explained and discussed fully with you. |
